Katsu Nagaiwa is the Captain of the Fourth Division, and previous Captain of the Eighth Division.
Appearance[]
Katsu is a man who looks about mid-twenties with jet-black hair, with an individual hair strand that reaches his cheek. He has three parallel scars that run down his other cheek to his neck. Katsu constantly has a grumpy look on his face. He has rather pale-blue eyes.
His attire has no noticible changes than the standard shinigami's, save having a black obi.
Personality[]
Katsu is an extremely grumpy man with no sense of humour. He tends to not care about the company of others, being just fine, able to cope on his own. He has been training in the art of Kaido, wanting to use it to save people (depite his grumpy and cold personality).

Powers and Abilities[]
Expert Swordsmanship: Katsu has the swordsmanship ability of an average captain, if not better. He excels in defense, such as blocking and parrying.
Expert Hakuda: His Hakuda is on par with that on an average captain.
Proficient Shunpo: Katsu's shunpo skill is able to keep up with a few captain-level shinigami, and most lieutenant leveled shinigami.
Kido Master: Katsu's level in kido could rival that of the kido corps commander, even if he couldn't surpass him. However, he prefers kaido over hado and bakudo.

Zanpakuto:[]
Eien no Kōtei (Emperor of Eternity). It is a normal katana which can manipulate the water vapour in the air.
Shikai Ability 1: Mushoku-en (Colourless flame). Eien no Kōtei has the ability to heat up water vapour in the air and on his sword, making both uncomfortably hot.
Shikai Ability 2: Hiyaase (Cold Sweat). Eien no Kōtei cools down the blade and water vapour surrounding it, slowing down anything around the blade, and in the area of effect.
Shikai Ability 3: Mizu Gādo (Water Guard). The water vapour in the air compiles to become a bubble to surround himself in.
Bankai: Suisei Chōetsu (Aquatic Transcendence): Once activated, his whole body is enveloped in skin-tight water, increasing his offensive and defensive capabilities dramatically.
